I immigrated to Melbourne and Medium
Immigration is hard. No way around it.

Immigration is hard. No way around it.
Two years ago I left Iran. I'd spent 25 years in Tehran. I knew nothing else. The decision felt enormous at the time, and the reality of it hit even harder after I landed in Melbourne.
But it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Two months into my new life here, one thing became crystal clear: I still had so much to learn about the world. About myself. Stepping out of what's comfortable is terrifying. It's also where real growth happens.
On a smaller note -- I moved my blog to Medium. Practical reasons:
- Writing and publishing is dead simple.
- No worrying about hosting, backups, or WordPress security patches.
- Built-in SEO and readability.
Even companies like Basecamp made the same move at the time. Sometimes the simplest tool is the right one.
The bigger lesson from all of this: small steps toward change can lead to massive shifts. Whether it's moving countries or just changing where you write -- start somewhere.
